Best personal trainer software in 2026: seven platforms, real prices.

Seven platforms personal trainers and online coaches use, priced at 5, 20 and 50 clients from each company's own pricing page, with what each plan includes and a link to where every figure and claim came from. No affiliate links, because there are none to take.

Evo SI is the assistant coach inside Evobody, for you and your clients. SI stands for Super Intelligence, previously known as Artificial Intelligence.

Every price read from the company's own pricing page on 8 October 2026. Other details checked 23 September 2026, and again on 8 October where the page says so.

The price at fifty clients.

A month, month to month, from each company's own pricing page, read 8 October 2026. In order of the three prices added together, lowest first.

Who wrote this

Evobody wrote this page, and Evobody is one of the seven. Every price below comes from the company's own pricing page, read on 8 October 2026 and linked in the table, and every sum is written out so you can check it. The tables rank the platforms by what a coach pays at 5, 20 and 50 clients added together, lowest first.

On price alone: at 5 clients Evobody is free, and so is Everfit's Starter plan without its add-ons. At 20 and at 50 clients My PT Hub's Premium is the lowest, at $59 a month. What each one includes at that price is in the second table.

What a coach pays at 5, 20 and 50 clients

The platforms are in order of what a coach pays at 5, 20 and 50 clients added together, lowest first: Evobody $138, My PT Hub $177, PT Distinction $181.70, TrueCoach $264.94 plus its 5% on client payments, Everfit from $421, ABC Trainerize $424 and CoachRx $487.

A month, month to month, from each company's own pricing page, read 8 October 2026 and linked on its name: the plan that holds that many clients, with the add-ons this site counts in every comparison where a platform sells them separately, and CoachRx's own 2% of client payments at $200 a client. TrueCoach's 5% includes card processing, so it is stated, never added. In order of the three prices added together, lowest first.
Platform5 clients20 clients50 clientsWhat that price is
Evobody$0$69$69Free for five active clients, then Coach for any number. Evo SI is optional, $3 a month for each client who has it switched on.
My PT Hub$59$59$59Premium, for unlimited clients, since Starter holds three. $52 a month on its twelve month plan, and Check-Ins AI is $12 a month more.
PT Distinction$31.90$59.90$89.90Basic, $19.90 for three clients and $6.00 for each one more; Pro for up to 25; Master for up to 50. No commitments or minimum terms.
TrueCoach$29.98$69.98$164.98Starter, Standard and Pro. Client payments taken through TrueCoach carry "a flat 5% fee per transaction", card processing included.
EverfitFrom $96From $126From $199Pro at all three sizes, each with Autoflow, Payments and Packages, and Meal Plans and Recipe Books. Free on Starter for five clients without them.
ABC Trainerize$70$149$205Pro 5, Pro 30 and Pro 50, each with Advanced Nutrition Coaching and the Business add-on. FitMetrics, its AI add-on, is $6 to $10 a client more.
CoachRx$49$159$279$29, $79 and $79 a month, plus its own 2% of client payments, counted at $200 a client.

The sums, line by line. PT Distinction at 5 clients: $19.90 for three clients and $6.00 for each of two more make $31.90. CoachRx, counting its own 2% at $200 a client: $29 and 2% of $1,000 make $49 at 5 clients, $79 and 2% of $4,000 make $159 at 20, and $79 and 2% of $10,000 make $279 at 50. ABC Trainerize, with Advanced Nutrition Coaching and the Business add-on: $25, $20 and $25 make $70; $79, $45 and $25 make $149; $135, $45 and $25 make $205. Everfit, with Autoflow, Payments and Packages, and Meal Plans and Recipe Books: $19, $29, $9 and $39 make from $96; $49, $29, $9 and $39 make from $126; and at 50, $95, $56, $9 and $39 make from $199. My PT Hub is the same $59 at every size, and its Check-Ins AI is $12 a month more. Evobody's Evo SI is never added up here: it is $3 a month for each client who has it switched on. It is optional: switched off for a client, it is hidden from their app and costs nothing.

No add-ons, now or ever. Other coaching apps charge extra for add-ons. We never will: every coaching feature is on every plan, everything we build next comes in too, and you never pay for our progress.

What each plan includes

From each company's own pages, help centre or contract, checked 23 September 2026; Trainerize's FitMetrics, Everfit, My PT Hub, PT Distinction, CoachRx and TrueCoach again on 8 October 2026. In the same order as the price table.

Evo SI is the one thing not inside the plan price, and there are two ways to pay for it. On Studio, which opens later, at $99 a month, Evo SI is free with your own AI API key. On Coach it is $3 a month for each client who has it switched on. It is optional: switched off for a client, it is hidden from their app and costs nothing. Nobody else in this table sells what it does. Trainerize's FitMetrics is the nearest thing, and it drafts check-in replies for the coach rather than answering a client at eight in the evening. Its price, in its own words on 8 October 2026: "The Starter plan is $6/client with a 1-client minimum and the Scale plan is $10/client with a 50-client minimum."

Where the free plans really start

Free plans and trials, and the first paid step, from each company's own pricing page. In the same order as the price table.
PlatformFree planCheapest paid plan
Evobody5 active clients, no time limit, no card$69/mo, unlimited clients
My PT HubNone, a 30 day trial$25/mo for 3 clients
PT DistinctionNone, a 1 month trial$19.90/mo for 3 clients
TrueCoachNone, a 14 day trial$29.98/mo for 5 clients
Everfit5 clients, no time limit$19/mo, then priced per client
ABC Trainerize1 client$10/mo for 2 clients
CoachRxNone, a 14 day trial$29/mo for 1 to 5 clients

The cheapest plan is rarely the one you end up on. Trainerize's third client takes you from $10 to $25 and the thirty first from $79 to $135. CoachRx's sixth takes you from $29 to $79 and the fifty first to $199. My PT Hub's fourth takes you from $25 to $59. TrueCoach jumps from twenty clients to fifty with nothing in between. Evobody does not move.

The three things that actually decide it

Who the AI is for

Every platform here has AI now. In six of the seven, it builds things for you: a workout, a meal plan, a program. Only Evobody puts it in your client's hand, where they photograph a restaurant menu and ask what they can eat, photograph the fridge and find out what they can make, or log a meal by describing it. Trainerize's version of that, drafting check-in replies and reading macros off a photo, is FitMetrics, an add-on inside Trainerize from $6 a client a month.

Evo SI works for the coach too, trained on the coach's philosophy and methods, set up in the app.

Whether your clients have anywhere to be

Motivation is what keeps a client paying you, and it is the one thing a coach cannot manufacture alone. Two of the seven give clients no way to talk to each other: CoachRx, whose own help centre says so, and TrueCoach, whose features page lists messaging between coach and client only, read 8 October 2026. CoachRx puts it plainly: "Can clients communicate with each other? No, client communication is only with coaches. Consider using external platforms for group community building." Trainerize has Groups, but their own help centre says clients see only two of the four tabs and the activity timeline is trainer only. Everfit's forums are closed to your own roster, so eight clients gets you an eight person forum. PT Distinction lets a coach "Enable group messenger so your members can communicate in your group chat", per its features page, and My PT Hub's Premium plan has a feed where a coach can "Enable clients to comment, reply and react", per its communities page, both read 8 October 2026.

On Evobody your clients get a private community feed on every plan, shared with your other clients and nobody else. No other coach can see your client list or reach your clients, and every post starts from an achievement because there is no compose button in the client app.

What the number on the invoice is not telling you

Two platforms charge on your clients' payments as well as a subscription, and neither puts it on their pricing page. TrueCoach's help centre gives its card processing fee as "a flat 5% fee per transaction" while their pricing page answers the question about extra fees with "Nope, what you see is what you get." CoachRx's help centre documents its own 2% on top of card processing. A third, My PT Hub, has the commitment in the contract rather than the price: annual billing paid monthly is a twelve month term needing thirty days written notice.

Pick the page for what you are leaving

Each one ranks the whole field from the point of view of somebody walking away from that platform, because the right second choice depends on what went wrong with the first.

How these comparisons are made

  • Prices come from each company's own pricing page, month to month, every one read on 8 October 2026. Annual figures are never mixed with monthly ones.
  • The tables rank the platforms by what a coach pays at 5, 20 and 50 clients added together, lowest first. Each sum is written out under the price table, so every figure can be checked against the page it came from.
  • Capability claims come from the company's own help centre, documentation or contract, quoted and linked where their wording is clearer than ours.
  • Review quotes link to the review site they are on, with the reviewer's name and the date, and a small sample is called a small sample.
  • Where a competitor is better, it says so. PT Distinction has the best coach-side review record in the category. Trainerize has the widest integrations. CoachRx has the strongest wearable support. My PT Hub includes nutrition on every plan.
  • Evobody is our own product and these pages argue for it. Everything on them is checkable, which is the only reason to trust any of it.

Questions coaches ask

What does personal trainer software cost at 5, 20 and 50 clients?

Month to month, from each company's own pricing page, read 8 October 2026: ABC Trainerize is $70, $149 and $205 with Advanced Nutrition Coaching and its Business add-on; Evobody is free for 5 clients and $69 for 20 or 50, and Evo SI is optional, $3 a month for each client who has it switched on; CoachRx is $49, $159 and $279, counting its own 2% at $200 a client; Everfit is from $96, from $126 and from $199 with its add-ons; My PT Hub is $59 at each size; PT Distinction is $31.90, $59.90 and $89.90; and TrueCoach is $29.98, $69.98 and $164.98, plus a flat 5% on client payments taken through it, card processing included.

Which coaching platform is the cheapest alternative for 50 clients?

My PT Hub, at $59 a month for unlimited clients, or $52 on its twelve month plan. Then Evobody at $69 a month flat, PT Distinction at $89.90, Everfit from $199 with its add-ons, ABC Trainerize at $205, CoachRx at about $279 once its 2% payment fee is counted, and TrueCoach at $165 plus a flat 5% card processing fee on every client payment taken through it. Figures assume 50 clients each paying the coach $200 a month. My PT Hub's Check-Ins AI is $12 a month more. Evobody's Evo SI is the one item not in a plan price. On Studio, which opens later, at $99 a month, Evo SI is free with your own AI API key. On Coach it is $3 a month per client using it. It is optional: switched off for a client, it is hidden from their app and costs nothing.

Which coaching platforms take a percentage of client payments?

TrueCoach's card processing fee is a flat 5% per transaction and CoachRx adds 2% of its own on top of card processing. Neither figure appears on the company's pricing page, only in a help article. Evobody, PT Distinction, Everfit, ABC Trainerize and My PT Hub take no percentage of client payments at all.

Which coaching software has a free plan?

Evobody is free for up to 5 active clients with no time limit and no card, and Everfit's free plan is the same shape. ABC Trainerize has a free tier holding one client. TrueCoach, CoachRx and My PT Hub offer trials of 14 to 30 days instead, and PT Distinction offers one month.

Can I move my clients to Evobody from another platform?

Yes. Paste the client list you export from Trainerize, TrueCoach, Everfit, My PT Hub, PT Distinction, CoachRx or a spreadsheet and they are all added in one go, then you invite each one when you are ready. Evobody's team helps you bring over your programs, plans and documents.

Whichever one you are leaving, you get dedicated support for the move: your client list comes across in one go, and Evobody's team helps you bring over your programs, plans and documents rather than rebuild them from nothing. See the switching guide.
