Does Evobody take a commission on client payments?

No. Evobody takes no cut of what your clients pay you and never holds your money. Your clients pay you however you already collect, and the Stripe account a coach connects is their own.

The two that do, in their own words

TrueCoach charges a flat 5% card processing fee on every payment a client makes you through it, plus $15 for every chargeback. That is from their own help centre, in an article rewritten in December 2025:

"each invoice will incur Stripe's processing fee per successful credit card transaction. This is a flat 5% fee per transaction."

TrueCoach help centre, Understanding Processing Fees

Until late 2025 that same article said 2.9% plus 30 cents in the US and 1.4% plus 30p in the UK, so for a British coach the fee on a card payment went from 1.4% plus 30p to a flat 5%. Meanwhile their pricing page answers "Are there any extra fees?" with "Nope, what you see is what you get."

CoachRx adds 2% of its own on top of normal card processing. Their help centre sets it out as 2.9% plus 30 cents plus "2% CoachRx", totalling "4.9% + $.30 per successful transaction", and their own worked example is thirty clients billing nine thousand dollars a month paying four hundred and fifty dollars in fees. None of it is on their pricing page.

What that costs in real money

A coach with fifty clients paying $200 each collects $10,000 a month.

  • TrueCoach's 5% is its card processing fee, so it is not a like for like figure: whatever a coach collects with, a card processor charges something.
  • At 2% it is $200 a month, which is two and a half times CoachRx's own $79 plan.
  • On Evobody it is nothing. The $69 is the whole bill.

One coach put their prices up to absorb it:

"I make around $5000+ per month on True Coach. I ended up raising my rates 10% starting next month to deal with this increase or transfer clients for a 6% increase to another billing method. Haven't raised my rates in 5 years so felt ok about it... Certainly feels too expensive."

No add-ons, now or ever. Other coaching apps charge extra for add-ons. We never will: every coaching feature is on every plan, everything we build next comes in too, and you never pay for our progress.

Why the money never touches us

Your clients pay you directly, however you already collect, and Evobody tracks the payments: each client's package, and every payment you mark paid, late or failed. The Stripe account a coach connects is their own Stripe account, not an Evobody balance. Charging a client's card through Evobody is not built yet.

So Evobody never holds another business's revenue, and there is no arrangement under which a platform problem becomes a cashflow problem for you. Whatever your card processor charges is between you and them. Evobody adds nothing to it.

What client payment tracking does

Most coaches already collect money somewhere: a bank transfer, a payment link, a Stripe account. Evobody keeps the record rather than the money. A coach connects their own Stripe account, sets each client's package, and marks every payment paid, late or failed, so the roster shows who is up to date without a separate spreadsheet.

Charging a client's card through Evobody is not built yet. Nothing about tracking payments changes what a coach's card processor charges them.

Questions about the money

Does Evobody take a commission on client payments?

No. Evobody takes no cut of what your clients pay you and never holds your money. The Stripe account you connect is your own.

Do my clients get billed by Evobody?

Never. Your clients pay you, however you already collect, and nothing in the client app is for sale, Evo SI included, which is billed to the coach. Do my clients pay for Evobody?

Can my clients pay me through Evobody?

Not by card yet. A coach connects their own Stripe account, sets each client's package and marks each payment paid, late or failed. Charging a client's card through Evobody is not built yet.

Does TrueCoach charge a fee on client payments?

Yes. TrueCoach's own help centre gives its card processing fee as "a flat 5% fee per transaction", plus $15 for every chargeback, and its pricing page does not mention it.

Does CoachRx charge a fee on client payments?

Yes. CoachRx adds 2% of its own on top of card processing, "4.9% + $.30 per successful transaction" in all, set out in a help article rather than on its pricing page.

So what does Evobody actually charge?

$69 a month for unlimited clients, or $99 on Studio, which opens later, with your branding, and $3 a month for each client using Evo SI, which is optional. Full breakdown.

Which platform should I move to if the fee is why I am leaving?

The ranked field is on best TrueCoach alternatives and best CoachRx alternatives, both of which sort the options by what they take out of your revenue.
