Live today, not planned
These five connect now. Heart rate zones are worked out from the client's own age, so a cardio session the coach sets in a zone shows the client their own range for it, and daily steps are kept as their own habit separate from training.
Keeping steps separate is deliberate. A client who walked ten thousand steps had a good day, and it is not a cardio session. Counting it as one flatters the number and tells their coach something untrue about the week.
You do not need a watch at all
A run or a ride is tracked live on a GPS map in the Evobody iPhone app, which is in beta, with pace and distance as it happens. It is not on Android yet. That works from the phone in the client's pocket, so a client with no wearable gets their route, their distance and their pace anyway.
Most platforms in this category show you a route after a watch has synced it across. Tracking it live, in the app, without a device, is a different thing.
Worth checking before you switch
Wearable support is the area where feature grids are least reliable, because "supports Whoop" often means "accepts Whoop data if it happens to arrive via Apple Health." The distinction matters for Android clients especially, who have no Apple Health to route through.
- ABC Trainerize connects to five wearables directly. WHOOP, Oura, Polar and Strava are not among them and arrive second hand through Apple Health or Google Health Connect. Their own tables leave Oura off the Apple Health list entirely. Only Apple Watch can send a strength workout back; Garmin and Fitbit strength sessions arrive labelled as general cardio.
- PT Distinction does well on iPhone, with a real Apple Watch app and an Apple Health feed. Their direct integrations are Fitbit and MyZone, with no Google Fit or Health Connect, so an Android client has those two and nothing else.
- My PT Hub connects directly to Apple Health, Apple Watch, Google Fit, MyFitnessPal and Fitbit. Garmin, Whoop, Oura, Strava and Nike Run Club are routed through Google Fit as a bridge, and Google Fit's APIs are already closed to new developers and supported only to the end of 2026.
- CoachRx has genuinely strong wearable support, better than most of this category. Credit where it is due.
