What each one costs at 5, 20 and 50 clients

Kahunas has three plans, paid monthly or yearly: Essentials at $35 a month or $315 a year for up to 25 clients, Growth at $69 a month or $621 a year for up to 50, and Ultimate at $99 a month or $900 a year for unlimited clients. Every plan starts with a 14 day free trial, and its founder adds his own promise to refund a coach who is not satisfied after three months. There is no free plan.

50$69, Growth$69, on Coach

A month, from Kahunas' plans, 8 October 2026, beside Evobody.

At 20 clients Kahunas costs less: $35 against $69. At 5 clients Evobody is free, and at 50 the two are the same $69 a month. Past 50, Kahunas moves to Ultimate at $99 for unlimited clients, with a separate app-store listing under the coach's own name, and Evobody stays at $69. Evo SI, Evobody's AI in the client's own app, is the one thing outside Evobody's plan price: $3 a month for each client you switch it on for, and every client's first ten questions are free. It is optional: switched off for a client, it is hidden from their app and costs nothing.

What Kahunas does well, in its own words

  • A big, checked food database: "over 1.6m verified foods, 800k barcodes, over 2,400 restaurants food items", with "macronutrients and micronutrients", many "approved by a team of nutritionists".
  • Progress you can see: its Progress Overlay lets you "compare client photos instantly", and you can "Share client transformations on social media".
  • Workouts with detail: "straight sets, supersets, circuits", "an automatic rest timer", and an exercise library of "Over 1000 exercises", with your own uploaded or imported from YouTube.
  • Custom check-in and daily habit forms, with "as many metrics and fields as you want".
  • Payments with no commission: "Accept Stripe & PayPal payments directly. We don't charge any commission on your sales." Recurring and one off payment plans too.
  • A content library for audio, video, documents and PDFs, which you can "drip out" over time, plus supplement plans and a calendar.
  • Wearables: "Your clients can connect their wearable device to automatically synchronise their data with your check-in forms."
  • Store apps on Ultimate: a separate app-store listing under the coach's own name, on Ultimate at $99 a month with unlimited clients, and the coach pays Apple's own $99 a year developer fee.

It says it is "Trusted by 750,000+ users" and loved by "Over 14,000 coaches", and on price it is the cheaper of the two at 6 to 25 clients.

Where the two are different

A restaurant menu, read against this client's allergies and what is left of their day.
A coach's private community: clients share finished workouts with each other, with kudos and comments.
GPS run tracking: a finished outdoor run with its route, splits and personal bests. Recording runs in the iPhone app, in beta.

A community of your own clients, on every plan

Kahunas' plans list group messaging from Growth up, and no community feed. Evobody gives your clients a private community feed on every plan, the free one included, shared with your other clients and nobody else. Every post starts from an achievement, because there is no compose button anywhere in the client app. Clients climb five ranks, Start through to Whole, earned week by week against their own plan, and every week the clients who showed up go on the Pace Setters board.

An AI in the client's own app

SI stands for Super Intelligence, previously known as Artificial Intelligence.

Kahunas' Growth plan lists a feature it calls "Health Score A.I", and its pages do not say more about it. Evobody's Evo SI sits in the client's own app. A client can photograph the menu at the restaurant they are sitting in and ask what they can eat, photograph the fridge and see what they can make, or log a meal by describing it. It reads their plan, their targets, their phase and their numbers, is told that client's own allergy and diet rules with every question, proposes rather than decides, and never overrules their coach. Every client's first ten questions are free; after that it is $3 a month for each client you switch it on for.

It works for you too, trained on your philosophy and methods, set up in the app. And it is optional: switched off for a client, it is hidden from their app.

Check-ins, with your own screen recorder

You reply to a check-in by writing, or by recording a video over the client's own dashboard with your camera in the corner, talking them through their numbers. That recorder is built in, so the Loom or ScreenPal subscription many coaches pay for is one more thing you stop paying for.

Free for your first five clients

Kahunas starts every plan with a 14 day trial. Evobody's free plan holds five active clients with no card and no time limit, and it does not end, so a coach can run a small roster, or try both side by side, for as long as they like.

Outdoor training and support

A run or a ride is tracked live inside Evobody on a GPS map, in the iPhone app (in beta). And when a client has a question about the app, they ask from inside it, any hour, and Evobody answers, so you are not the help desk for software you did not build. Kahunas's own pages publish no support hours for clients.

Platform24/7 support for your clients
EvobodyYes, from inside the app, on every plan
KahunasNo hours published for clients. Its site offers coaches a chat, with no hours given.

What Evobody does not do yet

  • Card payments. Evobody tracks client payments with your own Stripe account, but charging a client's card through Evobody is not built yet. Kahunas takes Stripe and PayPal payments on every plan.
  • A separate app-store listing under the coach's own name. Kahunas includes one on Ultimate. Evobody's Studio plan, which opens later, puts your logo and brand colour in the Evobody client app.

Who each one suits

Kahunas suits a coach with 6 to 25 clients who wants nutrition, check-ins and habits for $35 a month, a coach who wants card payments with no commission today, or a coach who wants an app listed in the stores under their own name, on Ultimate at $99.

Evobody suits a coach who wants a community of their own clients on every plan, an AI in the client's own app that answers from the plan the coach wrote, and a free plan for the first five clients, with one price for any number after that.

No add-ons, now or ever. Other coaching apps charge extra for add-ons. We never will: every coaching feature is on every plan, everything we build next comes in too, and you never pay for our progress.

Moving from Kahunas to Evobody

You get dedicated support for the move. Your client list comes across in one go, and Evobody's team helps you bring over your programs, plans and documents rather than rebuild them from nothing. Because Evobody is free for your first five clients, you can run a few on both before you move the rest. The full detail is in the switching guide.
